About the hotel:
Located at the north end of the Strip, the 4-star SAHARA Las Vegas just completed a $150 million renovation, which retouched guest rooms, casino, lobby and spa and more. Returning to its original SAHARA name, the iconic resort reclaims its roots as the former hangout of the Beatles, Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin.
The hotel features three towers — Blanca, Marra and Alexandria — each with a different vibe. The Blanca Tower is the coziest of the three, with comforting blue and beige decor. One step up, Marra Tower rooms have a contemporary sleek design and modern white furnishings. The AAA 4-Diamond Alexandria Tower is the resort’s premium tower, complete with dedicated valet entrance, a private check-in experience and its own lounge.
On-site dining options include James Beard award-winning chef José Andrés’ Bazaar Meat steakhouse — the “best meathouse in America,” per Andrew Zimmern — as well Italian and Mexican restaurants and multiple bars and lounges.
Search for lady luck in the 60,000-square-foot casino, where table games, slot machines and race and sports books provide ample opportunities to win. If the weather is right, take a break from the tables at the pool, which offers room to lounge and a pool bar just steps away. (Note: The rooftop pool is currently closed for renovations and will reopen in spring 2020). Or head to Amina Spa, located in the Alexandria Tower, for some hard-earned pampering.
Baggage info: Many flight options do not include checked bags, but you can add them through the airline after booking for an added fee.
