Hotel Mousai is about a 40-minute drive from Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR).
From the luxury suites to the dining to the rooftop views, there are plenty of reasons numerous celebrities have made the luxurious Hotel Mousai their home away from home when they visit Puerto Vallarta. This adults-only property, on an 85-acre nature preserve, is the only AAA 5-Diamond award-winning hotel in Puerto Vallarta, and one of just 24 hotels to earn the designation in all of Mexico.
With just 73 suites on the property, every floor of the hotel feels quiet and exclusive. Each suite has a private terrace with a jetted plunge pool, Italian porcelain floors, and all rooms feature outdoor hammocks for leisurely afternoon siestas. Guests can control the lights, order room service and close the curtains from bed via the in-room iPad. Mousai Suites start at a ridiculously spacious 1,069 square feet; upgrade to an Ultra Suite for a stay in a higher floor, butler service, complimentary hydrotherapy circuits at the spa and little luxe touches like in-room aromatherapy.
A cocktail at the Rooftop bar is a must, if only to take in the sweeping views of Banderas Bay from the 18th floor (a visit during sunset is highly recommended). Other dining options at the hotel include the Terrace for breakfast and Japanese cuisine at Hiroshi. Elsewhere on the resort grounds is the steakhouse BocaDos, Mexican cuisine at Blanca Blue and lighter fare at the poolside Aquazul. All-inclusive-package guests have access to all of these.
Guests also receive access to the full Garza Blanca property, whose other hotels surround Mousai; this includes access to the ground-level panorama-view pool and a private beach with a breakwater for more relaxed swimming. A trolley runs throughout the day to carry guests between buildings and the beachfront. Downtown Puerto Vallarta is just a 10-minute drive north; we recommend at least one evening spent wandering the famous Malecon beachfront, pier and the city’s Zona Romantica.
