Patagonia – Torres del Paine (Trekking the 'O' Circuit)

This video is about Torres del Paine National Park. Located in Chile’s side of Patagonia, it is one of the most beautiful and iconic areas of the world. While you can see the breathtaking lakes and magnificent “Cuernos” and Cerro Paine Grande from the roadside, the only way to see the park’s two most famous features — the “Torres” themselves as well as the awesome Glacier Grey — is by hiking. The best way to take in all that the park has to offer is to hike a complete circuit that makes a loop around the entire park and the whole Torres massif. This is known as the “O” circuit and takes around a week to complete, and is one of the best backpacking trips in the world.

  1. Great Video. Brings back wonderful memories. We did not do the full O circuit but sections of the W trek. We walked in one day from Los Cuernos, return trip to end of French valley and back out to Los Paine. Were hoping to do the return trip to Refugio Gray on the next day but the wind was too severe.

Will have to catch up with some of your other videos as we have also visited El Chalten and Dolomites in our travels. From your youthful looks I suspect we have about 40-50 years start so enjoy many years of travel after the world hopefully emerges from the current health crisis.
