Now I am sharing the ideal things to do in Munich, Germany. For even much more solutions see my entire Munich guide right here:

I explored Munich with Merely Munich and they showed me the best bars, eating places, breweries, functions, sightseeing, and much more. I also discuss the stylish lodge I stayed at (twenty five hrs Resort), and the value of checking out with a guidebook. During my excursion I satisfied Amadeus the author of the Munich Marco Polo guidebook and he shared his best idea for guests with me. If you enjoyed this movie, please subscribe!

  1. Hmmm, a film about best things in Munich without even mentioning Residenz museum, Antiquarium, Alte Pinkothek, Neue Pinakothek, Nymphenburg, Marienplatz, Karlsplatz (Stachus), jugendstil, Isar, Siegestor…I have been there many times and this is NOT the Munich I know. Olympic stadium is nice but far from being among top 30 interesting places in Munich and the same goes to BMW welt. Largest part of the video is basically advertisement of the book, restaurant, bike tour etc. Very superficial and misleading.

  2. Munich is a good city to live in only if you plan long term and get a well paid job. My opinion is that only after 2 years you get to appreciate the things it offers, like a very calm, "free of stress" and crime-free everyday life, the proximity to the Alps, the lakes, and the fact that it's basically at the center of Europe with an extremely well connected airport.
Otherwise, for a weekend or a 6 to 12 months exchange, go somewhere else. Munich is by default boring (although things are a bit improving in the past year). Locals are unfriendly with very few exceptions. If you host a dinner at your place (dinner, not big time party) you very likely get the police at your front door coz neighbors called it. It is crazy expensive, architecture is not that good and all the districts look the same. Food is shit, beer is good but difficult to find something else than Helles or Weissbier.
So if you are 30+ and already had a pretty satisfying life in terms of parties and nights out, and now want to relax, Munich is the place. Otherwise there is much better in Europe.

  4. It may be spelled BMW "Welt", but it's pronounced "Velt". In German, Welt means "World", hence "BMW World". You can also pick up your new BMW at BMW Welt, part of the BMW European Delivery program. We are leaving on 7/14 for Munich and picking up my wife's M3 on 7/18, our third BMW European Delivery. We did my M4 in 2016.
