To start off our working day, we have a standard beef sandwich with a Hong Kong design milk tea (whole 37 HKD / 4.71 USD). The beef was juicy and tender. No further sauce necessary! We discover the Sham Shui Po marketplace for tons of searching and find a unusual avenue food stuff at a store specializing in soy bean. We experienced fried tofu chunks stuffed with fish paste. It was wonderful seeing the cooks put together the tofu. This snack was so tasty and Affordable (fifteen HKD / one.91 USD for 5 items). And of system, we washed it down with fresh soy milk (7 HKD / .89 USD). Continuing by means of the avenue food stuff marketplace, we arrived by a Cantonese traditional dish – cheong enjoyment! This stall was one of a kind however simply because the condition of the cheong enjoyment (10 HKD / one.27 USD for tiny) was rolled into tiny bites like the Korean avenue food stuff Tteokbokki. Such a fantastic avenue food stuff to love in a tiny Hong Kong alleyway! To finish the working day, we consume at a single of the most critical avenue food stuff dining places in all of Hong Kong, at a dai pai dong. Dai pai dong’s are rather critical simply because they are quickly disappearing off the streets and getting to be modernized. There are only a handful of still left that genuinely maintain the culture of Hong Kong and Oi Person Sang is a single of the handful of! We experienced Hong Kong design clams, beef and rice avenue aspect! It all was mouthwatering and the cooks have been cooking proper on the avenue (298 HKD / 37.96 USD which include beers).

  1. Just FYI the Sun Hang Yuan place you guys went to is a new "branch" store of them and thus the renovation is new!

The old place is still there (and very close in distance)!

  2. for a few more dollars dummy, I can feast at a 6 star buffet that includes prime rib, steak, lobster, salads, all kinds of Hong Kong food, crab, etc. etc. etc. For what you got dummy, you way overpaid.

  3. I love how genuine you guys are, not like being overtly dramatic in expression when eating. I think just seeing you guys explore the city and show us around is a really nice break after studying in my room all day. Thanks for the entertainment!

  4. They let you wash the dished at the dai pai dong 13:15 is because ever since 2001 SARS hk people are very cautious of hygiene, and people dont trust that cheaper eatery's hygiene standard especially on washing dishes, so they usually give you hot water to let you rinse your dishes so you can enjoy your food comfortably. You dont have to wash it if you dont want to, some people dont, and its ok.

  5. don't mean to be rude but please do not compare our 'cheong fun' to the korean tteobokki. There is numerous hours spent to make our 'cheong fun' and not simply dough. I was about to subscribe but no thanks.

  6. The red mystery sauce and the the sauce on the rice rolls is a sweet hoisin sauce.
The water is to rinse off your dishes and utensils. Because Hong Kong can get dusty especially since this is an outdoor eatery. This happens at indoor restaurants too. Please amend the comment that they don’t wash the dishes. They would be able to operate that would be a health violation.

  7. I was at the same cheong fun store last year. It was excellent and your review was genuine. The only problem was the store was so busy and we had to eat standing on the street.
