Map & Directions

FOUNDRE Phoenix is a 15-minute drive from Phoenix International Sky Harbor Airport. Taxi fare costs approximately $25 each way.

Overview

Standing out from other hotels, FOUND:RE offers a boutique space with plenty of unique curated art covering the walls and a hip vibe throughout. Millennials and art aficionados alike will love the industrial design of the space as well as the modern tech-savvy touches in the guest rooms.

Rooms here feature custom-made platform beds and funky light fixtures, concrete wood floors, reclaimed wood throughout, and plenty of sunlight coming in through floor-to-ceiling windows. Small touches throughout make the rooms stand out: dual-use vanities (a sink and mirror in the shower with the other side outside the bathroom), tablet hotel guides and custom workspaces.

Art plays a huge role here, with custom pieces from local artists lining the walls and a small gallery that showcases rotating exhibits. Even the room numbers here were custom-made by a local artist.

Match Restaurant & Lounge serves up globally inspired, locally sourced fare (as well as wood-fired pizzas) in a hip space. An outdoor pool offers a fun spot to relax with an outdoor bar and, in keeping with the theme of the hotel, more artwork to check out.

Front desk management was accommodating with our dog, attentive with all our needs, and made checking in and out both quick and easy. Pool service was extremely nice and prompt. Thank you for a wonderful weekend.

the room wasn’t as nice as we’d hoped, but the bed was very comfortable. some things were missing, like a second chair, clock, end tables. coffee machine / coffee were good; bathroom was quite nice. also liked the restaurant.

Food and drinks were good. Innovative decor.

Other Comments

Loud and noisy with people yelling at 5:30am, rowdy crowd pool party. Breakfast staff inefficient.

The food was good – but I was not keen on the environment.

Other Comments

Too industrial for my tastes. Impossible to not get water from shower all over floor. Restaurant overpriced and brightly lit. NO breakfast service – one had to order at the bar, and then someone brought the plate. No one even offered to refill coffee.

Hotel is very nice looking and the rooms are very cool. Staff is quite friendly. Aside from the bad room position it was quite cool.

Other Comments

We were placed in a room on the second floor overlooking the pool. Staff neglected to mention that there would be an 8-10 hour pool party the next day, which resulted in very loud music thumping into our room the entire day. It was VERY loud and ruined our anniversary stay. They really should have warned us or given us the opportunity to switch rooms when we complained to the desk.

Room is comfortable, amenities go above and beyond, restaurant is good.

Other Comments

staff isn’t knowledgable on how to process Travelzoo deals at check in and check out. Staff isn’t helpful with volunteering information about parking or redeeming dining credits. Vibe is pretentious and not at all welcoming.

Please make potential guests aware of the $25 per day valet parking charge. The only other option is street parking which is limited.

Style. Room layout was unique. Enjoyed all the art. Bed was comfortable and shower was relaxing.

Service. I called the front desk three times before checking in to ask different questions about check-in. Spoke to different people each time, but they all had a curt, impatient tone. One of them asked me, “Was that it?” when she wasn’t sure if our conversation was over. There were no menus in our room for the restaurant downstairs. We had to call to have them brought up. I noticed there was a tablet in the room that had an option for restaurant menus, but when I clicked it, it said no menus available at this time. Why have the tablet? Room service messed up our order three times but did not offer to comp anything. I was told late check-out was not available because the hotel was “completely booked” even though I rarely saw anyone in the halls of my 3rd floor room. At exactly 11am, someone knocked to tell is it was check-out time. Basically, little things that did not make me feel welcome.

Unique style of the hotel and all the art throughout. Also the bartender downstairs was a guy who is passionate about what he does.
