Learning about the Acajachemen Native American people who lived there long before the mission. They were as much a part of the building of the Mission as Junipero Serra was. I’m happy to learn more about them and how they lived.

Other Comments

I’ve come to this Mission since the 1950’s, growing up nearby. I’ve seen it evolve into what it is today, much more informative and beautiful than ever. I would recommend a visit to the Mission San Juan as well as to the little town itself. It has much to offer for a peaceful and relaxing day.

I’ve been to all 21missions in CA, this one is top 3! Beautiful grounds. A lot of artifacts. I could easily spend 3-4 hours here exploring.
