  1. What a wonderful video! I knew Cadiz would be up there. I love the way you both bring a native Spanish and 'Non Spanish' but Spanish speaker perspective to this. I dream of visiting all these places in Spain; as a keen 'Spangna-phile' (have I just bastardised this), I have visited many places – admittedly the more touristy places but I'm keen to get off the beaten track.
I always forward your videos to my wife for ideas and to keep reminding her of our plans to visit more of the beautiful country of Spain.
Yoli and James – you are legends in my book.

  2. Nice places, but you missed really nice places at Castilla Y León, País Vasco, Valencia (Albufera or Javea for example) or the islands (Baleares and Canarias).

You should have mentioned Covadonga in Asturias 😉

They're a must!! 🙂 Great video by the way

  3. Interesting selection that avoided obvious places like Seville, Madrid & Barcelona. We've been to 8 of them, so agree that your selections are spot on. We'll be back to Cadz & Costa de la Luz in 2 weeks and Extremadura later in the year. You need to do some videos on Vegetarian dining in Spain. It can be challenging, especially in less cosmopolitan places. Though there's cheese, there's always cheese – torta de casar, you are my saviour.

  4. Muchísimas gracias Diego y Yoli…!!
Doña Yolanda, mi amor, I'm crazy about your head/hair ribbon..!!
BTW, I have a lady friend for more than 40 years, who lives in Florida and is originally from Cádiz..
Ella se llama Doña 'Olga, La Reina De España y La Princesa De Cádiz'..
Although she is from Spain, over the years, I have introduced her to the finer points of Musica Flamenca..!!
(soy un norteamericano de Los Estados Unidos)…

  5. Great video of things to do off the beaten path. Will bookmark and remember this for a future Spain trip in a car to be flexible and see things the way the locals do. Big fan of the channel, keep up the quality and interesting content.

  6. I am so glad we found your channel. My wife and I will be in Spain from late September to early November and to watch a video like this with such wonderful suggestions to visit helps us build our itinerary. Our plan at the moment is to drive from southern France to Gibraltar and then north to Madrid. Thank you again and keep up the great work. Bill from Oz.

  7. Of course…San Sebastian, in the north of Spain. The most beautiful city in Spain ! And there it's the best restaurant in the world named by the best critics of Europe! Amazing food, La Concha etc. Wonderful city!

  8. Just booked a few nights in Cádiz today as I'd been dying to get there all year – and now I see your video too! Excitement! Does anyone have any day trip recommendations from Cádiz? I've already heard amazing things about Conil and Jerez.

  9. I live in Girona, Cadaqués is truly amazing, if you are around there make sure to hike up to the "Cap de Creus" the most Eastern place of Spain and enjoy the amazing views
