Cairo (Arabic: القاهرة) is the capital of Egypt and the most significant city in the Center-East and next-most significant in Africa following Lagos. Its metropolitan region is the 15th most significant in the earth. Located near the Nile Delta, it was established in 969 CE. Nicknamed “the city of a thousand minarets” for its preponderance of Islamic architecture, Cairo has extensive been a middle of the region’s political and cultural lifetime. Cairo was established by Jawhar al-Siqilli “The Sicilian”, of the Fatimid dynasty, in the 10th century CE, but the land composing the current-day city was the web page of national capitals whose remnants continue being obvious in pieces of Outdated Cairo. Cairo is also connected with Ancient Egypt as it is close to the historical towns of Memphis, Giza and Fustat which are near the Wonderful Sphinx and the pyramids of Giza.
