Soon after a week diving the Red Sea, it was time to discover what Egypt has to offer you on land!
We took a 4-hour car or truck journey across desert and mountains from the port metropolis Hurghada to the metropolis of Luxor (known in ancient instances as Thebes). Spanning the east bank and west bank of the Nile River, this was a capital of ancient Egypt. Nowadays, it can be residence some of the biggest and most well-preserved tombs and temples from the new, middle, and outdated kingdom.
In our whirlwind, one particular day tour of Luxor, we observed: Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, Luxor Temple, and Karnak Temple. It was an Astounding day. These ancient Egyptian temples and tombs are remarkably well-preserved, and seriously remarkable. Nothing like wandering all over a wreck that is about 3000 years outdated to give you some perspective on life!
