Mount Tronador 3491m in the Nahuel Huapi National Park in close proximity to to Bariloche in Argentina. It is an extinct stratovolcano in the Southern Andes in Patagonia which you can ski backcountry, climb and ski tour on.
The mountain was named Thunder by the locals in reference to the audio of the falling seracs. The mountain hosts eight glaciers and a few summits. The first solo ascent on Pico International was by a German Herman Claussen in 1934.
