Together, we’ve lived coast to coast + across the sea. Through our moves, we’ve learned that it doesn’t matter where we live in the world, because together — we will make that place our home. Immersing ourselves into new communities + cultures, creating cozy spaces to live in, & forever being grateful for our current blessings. No matter where we live, together, we will always make it our home.

Hello, This is Darion again :). The more I watch your videos the more I want to see more. I really enjoyed this video as well. The drone shots were amazing. I have never been to the Burg Hohen Zollern castle but I will try to make it there in a few weeks when I travel to Germany. BTW, Valerie, it looks like you were looking for "Romeo" at the 4:41 mark lol. I love going to the Heidelburg castle and yes that wine barrel is awesome for sure. Dd, you go on top of the big wine barrel? Also on my list is to stay at the Hotel Schonburg. How did you like it? ahhh, I can't wait for my trip to Germany. 🙂 🙂
Deutschland ist einfach wunderbar!
In Bacharach right next to your Hotel in Oberwesel there is a youth hostel in Castel “Stahleck”. You can stay there as adults, too and its way cheaper . Cheers
08:09 this allows more air to the mattress, basically it's about hygiene.
Wow, a very good idea to visit the castles along the River Rhein. There are so many beatiful castles and there is so much history inside them.
Mylady and Mylord, I hope you had a pleasant stay in this castle 🙂
Great video of your Castle Road Trip across Germany.
You have some of the most beautiful castles on list we have in Germany. In my opinion the best German "Castle" is Burg Eltz. It is not fake like Neuschwanstein and is inhabited by the same family for centuries without beeing destroyed in any war or left alone to get ruined by time. Also the scenery around is astonishing and like painted to accentuate this pretty castle.
I hope you enjoy your trip and share your experiences further with us.

Would you ever consider doing a video on how you plan all your trips. From military perspective or not. But like how you decide where to go ( word of mouth or google?) Is language a big issues when trying to pre plan for needing tickets or parking passes. That kind of stuff
You shouldn't leave out the Wartburg in Thuringia because of its importance for Germany and the world.
8:20 That's just the way German beds look like, a seperate blanket for each person. You might fold it a little different, but it's perfectly fine.
Eure Videos sind wirklich immer ganz wunderbar! Macht weiter so.
SO cool! An awesome way to spend your vacation!
