  1. Although you were not able to travel on any trains in the holiday area what stunning scenery you was amongst. You both looked as if you really enjoyed your time there so maybe anoter trip when the trains are actually running. Planning ?????

  2. You know that you've nailed vlogging when you can make a train video without trains and people still love your videos in the comments! Thanks for sharing this all, incidentally Nottingham is twinned with Karlsruhe, the tram runs over the friendship bridge.

  3. I just got back from Germany yesterday love how integrated it all is with trams/buses. Like the double decker trains wish we had them also most I like is the ICE aswell as Frieburg is a nice station.

  4. Interesting ! 😀
Great video, well put together !
PS. any tips for smaller Travel Youtuber ? 😀
PSS> I feel bad for asking but mind checking out my channel ? if not then that's totally fine ! ;D

  5. Notice the quality of EU railways, Trains and Station cleanliness. Did you note that the European Intercity Trains have a real restaurant carriage compared with what we are offered, viz Virgin eat in your seat, as an example. I reckon that UK train designers need to spec to EU seating / layout etc. Also worth noting that Northern's long haul routes, prime example, Leeds to Carlisle has no First and to use 'commuter' stock on such long journey is really taking the p**s!!!!

  6. Can agree with your thoughts on the German Rail upgrade out of Friburgh , we went there early September to ride the train and stop off in Titisee., the nearest we came to was using the mega car park at Titisee Rail station. Can I suggest a trip to Interlaken, free train travel and bus using the complementary visitor card for your stay around the town and up to about 4-5 miles around the place. There is a ticket that is 3, 4, 5 days that gives unlimited travel in the Bernese Oberland region using Trains and Cable Cars. If you are quick you could do the whole journey from Blackpool North or South to Interlarken using the EU rail Global Pass, its even cheaper for UK Seniors ( a months travel on all EU railways and a return trip to the UK European border, for about £200 more than the cost of a 'turn up and go' Blackpool to London ticket), but better hurry as that pass will not be available post Brexit. Now who thought of Nigel loosing us that.

  7. Germany has got such amazing trains. Including ICE & TGV. Glad you are enjoying Germany. Please do other countries. Plus I want to go to Germany. I have been to France, Netherlands, Belgium & Italy both by train and plane.

  8. Yet another top class blog Gordon into how trains and railways are property run . I hope you can do one when the Bolton Corridor is completed. Don't forget to mention my home station Horwich Parkway.

  9. Nice video, full of Northern characters!

But… the viaduct is 224 metres long not 224 metres high. It is 58 metres high.

Stunning views, and not just of the wife…

    Keep up the good work!
