We loved our stay at the Rosellen! We had a one bedroom suite, and our friends shared a two bedroom suite. Both were comfortable, clean and well maintained. Some of the rooms at this hotel have been moderized, ours was not and we still loved it. No counter space in the bathroom, smallish bedroom and slightly outdated small kitchen. But still, love this place! Great location! Already recommended this to a friend and will stay here again!

The front counter staff are friendly and helpful on the phone, though for a large hotel, the desk closes really early.

Despite confirming my reservation more than a week ahead of arrival, I was bumped to another hotel at 7 o’clock the night before arrival. I was planning a very short stay with my 7 year old son and had everything from bus routes to times of shows planned with travel times from this hotel. Having to reorganize my trip at a new hotel the morning of arrival added a lot of stress to an otherwise fun weekend. The reviews led me to believe this was a great hotel, but being assured that a Sandman would not only be as good, but much better hasn’t left me with a great impression of a hotel that I haven’t and likely won’t set foot in. I appreciated the bottle of wine that was left for me as an apology, but it was hardly helpful as this was a father son weekend, something they were well aware of from my objections to the hotel change. From my multiple conversations with management, I understand there were several such displacements and that this isn’t an uncommon issue.

Rooms were not even close to what pictures indicated. Bugs in the bathroom tub. Constant smell of weed in the hallway and our room. Constant sound of garbage bins from the alley that the homeless would go through on a regular basis. Would not recommend at all. When we asked to check out and get a refund after the first night the manager was rude and dismissive. And told us that it was up to Travelzoo to rebate but he would not even consider it. Definitely not your typical Travelzoo recommendations. First time we have been disappointed with a booking through Travelzoo.
