The history about the manor as told to you by the gracious owner is a plus . The grounds and the manor make a great wedding venue and tea location.

It would be great for other events like this. Maybe do a wine tasting or pairing with some of the delicious food!

The venue is gorgeous. The initial raspberry fizz “cocktail” was a delicious/pretty first offering along with the history/tour given by the owner. We also loved the ability to walk the house after the tea at our leisure. There is no doubt the owner loves Rosemount and is doing many wonderful things to bring it back to life. The tea event could use a revamping.

Other Comments

The value – the price of the tea (over $45 pp with tip) for unspectacular, not really very tasty food (a deviled egg?), no salad, no soup, and we had to wait for a preselected tea delivery which was all just very underwhelming. A local tea we attend includes freshly prepared by the owner: soup, salad, unique food offerings (4 per person), 2 scones (same as here), unique desserts (4 per person) and sorbet; it also includes a choice of unlimited tea pot at our table without asking (50 types available plus 4 special types each month). Cost for this tea is $26 excl tip.
Please don’t get me wrong, we do not mind paying $45+ for a tea or driving an hour to enjoy it (as you can see we did!), but for that value, we expected something amazing that we would want to bring others to enjoy and that was not the way we felt.
