We stayed midweek so found the area less busy. Nothing was too much trouble for all the staff. It was good to meet the owner Richard who also does all the cooking. Wonderful food. Spotlessly clean everywhere.

We were on the second floor which was quite a climb. The room was lovely but had very low beams, not a problem for us as we are not very tall.

We loved every minute of our stay at Ees Wyke. The hotel was in a wonderful location, stunning scenery and close to lots to see and do. The hotel itself was lovely, as soon as we walked in we felt “aaaaah”, so relaxed. The housekeeper was wonderful for the 3 days we were there. Helpful, cheerful and went the extra mile whenever she could. Richard the owner is also a fantastic chef. Super food and not too cheffy. Breakfasts to die for and the evening meals beautifully balanced and presented.

As an old building Ees Wyke is not for people looking for modern boutique style. Everything was great, super very clean rooms and very comfy beds. Warm throughout the hotel. Two lovely seating / lounge areas, one overlooking fields, hills and the lake. You are greeted with coffee or tea and nothing seems to be too much trouble for the team. We would like to send our personal thanks to Karola and Richard for making this such a great experience.

A lovely place to stay. The staff were very welcoming and extremely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We upgraded to a lake view room and it was well worth it. Two very large windows overlooking the lake. Wonderful!! The food was very good and a great selection for breakfast. The offer was excellent value for money and we will definitely return. Karola was there at breakfast and dinner. An absolute superstar who looked after everyone and made sure they were well looked after.

A small up market hotel beautifully situated, very comfortable. Friendly staff. Menu was very restricted however. Pre- booking required for a set time. First night meal included in price but second night very expensive and only two main course options neither of which either of us liked, Even the coffee was extra.

Richard obviously has a passion for his food, and it shows in the amazing meals he cooks, and the breakfasts WOW!!!

The food. It was beautifully prepared and displayed. The breakfasts were of exceptional quality – the usual full English & continental but with the added extra of whiskey & cream with the porrage, Lock Fyne kipper, homemade marmalade and honey on honeycomb.

Richard is a marvellous chef, the food is absolutely delicious and worth every penny. Why anyone would not have their evening meal there is beyond me I would recommend the food at EE’s Wyke totally so if you are booking here do yourself a great big favour and book the evening meal you will not be disappointed.

Difficult to choose one aspect – whole stay was lovely. Staff friendly but not over attentive. presentation and quality of food excellent, and the lounges for guests very comfortable.

the only thing I would mention is that we paid extra for a lake view room and only benefited from this if we stood up and lent on the windowsill! We were on 2nd floor so in future would ask for a room on the first floor. we were offered the chance to view another room but it had private bathroom as opposed to en-suite so we decided we would rather have the en-suite than have to go out of the bedroom during night if needing the bathroom. Otherwise the room was excellent with good quality furnishings, everything you needed, clean and very spacious.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The choice of food was limited but I didn’t have any difficulty with that because the quality was excellent. All guests ate at 7:30 and we had a lovely sociable evening.
