I would not upgrade using TravelZoo, wait to upgrade on arrival. I upgraded on travelzoo and my friends that upgraded on arrival got twice the size suite as compared to us.

Great stay. Beautiful property. 5 star resort. Removed 1 star from room as walls were a bit thin so if want to sleep in could be a problem. Other than that, great service and well maintained great property in great location.

The spa experience was relaxing

When we checked in, the hotel staff knew nothing of the area or what they provided for services. Then the grounds keepers woke us up by mowing and blowing lawn keepers right outside our room at 6:45am

The room. Just a standard room. No view. No outside sitting area. Nothing special.

We ran into a problem with misplacing our car keys. Your security person, Jeff?, was excellent! He was so reassuring and went out of his way to look for the keys and reassure us. Can’t say enough about how good he was helping in the awkward and nervous situation. Thank you

The person that took our golf cart at the end of our tournament was very good as well.

Resort was nice overall, comfortable and quiet, close to wineries.

I really didn’t like that the voucher claims that you get two wine tasting tokens. This is very misleading as it makes you believe that what you get is two complimentary wine tastings. What we received upon check in were two certificates for 2-for-1 wine tastings. The winery was nice, but tastings were at least $50 so we still ended up spending for the tastings. Additionally, wineries tend to give these vouchers away for free in general for partner wineries. It’s ok to have these part of the deal, but be clear about what we’re actually receiving.

Nice hotel and property and would highly recommend for golfers – we are not. The grounds are very pretty and the rooms are comfortable. Purchased a Travelzoo deal where we got a decent room rate, welcome bottle of wine, and “two wine-tasting passes ($60 value).” The bottle of wine was one of my favorites, so that was a great start to things. We checked in early but our room wasn’t ready, so they did all the paper work, gave us our key, and told us they would text us our room number when it was ready.

We then went to the winery for our “two wine-tasting passes ($60 value).” So, it turns out, there were three different tastings you could do at Silverado Winery, each was $40, $45, and $50(?). A little pricy, but we figured the wine passes covered it. Nope. It covered the cost of o-n-e tasting, not two. So, we chose the $45 flight, all wines were wonderful. If we purchased two bottles from the same flight, our tasting fee was waved. Ok, so get this. There were four wines in the flight. One bottle was only for purchase by wine club members, the other bottle was $125. Both were great wines, but, a bit steep for us. So, we purchased two other bottles, with tip, under $100. Again, we loved the wine and the winery and I’d highly recommend going there. Just beware, the “two wine-tasting passes ($60 value)” is going to cost you. Also, the people at the hotel told us if you choose the basic tasting, it’s all free. Well, no, not really. We never received the text message for our room and after a couple of calls later in the day, received it.

Room was good, once you figured out how to turn on the heat. Restaurant served best eggs benedict we’ve ever had. Would rate the resort higher except that they decided to run their huge, loud riding lawn mowers outside our door at 5:45 am!!! Not possible to sleep. Also, bed was hard as a rock.
