The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The front desk staff found us a room that really suited us. The Restaurant employees cheerfully provided us with some needed supplies.

The hotel rooms were very clean and we appreciated that. We also enjoyed the mountain views from the balcony.

The rooms were 35 years past do for a remodel. The exterior of the entire Inn was drab and unappealing. The wall paper in the bathroom was pealing and the shower rod was rusting. The blinds in the room were b broken. The doors that led out to the patio had no silencers on them and they slammed horribly when the closed. If the weather was better, we would have spent time on the patio. The exterior of the living units look like storage warehouse. We ate at the bar where the service was good and their food was very good. On the other hand the breakfasts we had were mediocre at best. Both morning there was scrambled eggs, potatoes that were uneatable, biscuits that were good and the usual for a southern restaurant, grits and gravy which I did not try. You would thing that a facility with a full service kitchen and only a few guests, could come up with food lineup better that that. When we travel, we always at the Country Inn and Suits whose breakfast is 5 times better than what we hade at the Waynesville Inn.

Room was filthy, worn out, and very outdated. Golf course was in bad shape. Must have been nice once upon a time, over 20 years ago. We left after one night, reported to you with pictures, and they refunded us the one night not used.
